The Editor, South Hampton, New York
A few months ago, before the Scientist took a four-month jaunt through the better bars of Central America, he and I, along with a new friend of mine, the Editor (above), took a trip out to Montauk. We needed a change of scenery, and I felt bored with shooting in New Jersey. After a while, I think the local loses its interest, at least until I see something I haven't seen before. Montauk - the trip was inspired by Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - was an easy destination. Just under three hours away by car (well, then; I can't imagine summer traffic), it's part of the beautiful eastern tip of Long Island, which includes the Hamptons. I shot quite a few rolls there, which I've been saving for "something."
Today was that something. I had a rough day at court, and decided that this would be a good release. So, the next few shots have nothing to do with the present day, but are of a place that jumpstarted my interest in shooting (this year; who knows what it will take next year).
