The Doctor, Cattus Island County Park, Dover Tp., New Jersey.

It's been a bit of a week for me.  Lots of difficult decisions made of the "let's redefine life" sort.  I'm not sure what will come of it all, but I'm hopeful and scared, so it is definitely going to be interesting.

The Editor, South Hampton, New York

A few months ago, before the Scientist took a four-month jaunt through the better bars of Central America, he and I, along with a new friend of mine, the Editor (above), took a trip out to Montauk.  We needed a change of scenery, and I felt bored with shooting in New Jersey.  After a while, I think the local loses its interest, at least until I see something I haven't seen before.  Montauk - the trip was inspired by Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - was an easy destination.  Just under three hours away by car (well, then; I can't imagine summer traffic), it's part of the beautiful eastern tip of Long Island, which includes the Hamptons.  I shot quite a few rolls there, which I've been saving for "something."

Today was that something.  I had a rough day at court, and decided that this would be a good release.  So, the next few shots have nothing to do with the present day, but are of a place that jumpstarted my interest in shooting (this year; who knows what it will take next year).
