Think the "fuzzy" effect would work wonders in an outdoor setting with nature or a building. I don't particularly like that the boy is blurred too, but then again, I'm not a photographer, and we all know what opinions are like...

I tend to think that you're right, that the lensbaby effect doesn't quite work with this image. When I took this shot, I had just picked up the lensbaby, so I was a little overzealous with the device.
